The country duo Brooks & Dunn have been on the music scene for many years, and by now they have probably figured out that it is nearly impossible to make everyone happy. Such is the case with their newest music video to accompany their single "Indian Summer." The story for the video revolves around two rival schools at a football game. The video was filmed to feature two actual rival high schools in California, Chowchilla High School and Dos Palos High School.

As the summer rolls in we're set for another season of music festivals. While festivals are a great place to see bands you wouldn't have normally seen and to discover new acts I've always felt that the only real place to see your favourite bands play are at their own gigs. Nothing quite beats the atmosphere at a small venue created by an audience who are all there to see the headline act.

Trey Anastasio and his ultimate jam band Phish left phans across the globe holding their breaths in 2004 when the Vermont rockers announced "we're done" to a hometown crowd of 65,000 on a farm in Coventry, but done apparently didn't mean forever, as this stoner band's revival onto the music scene in 2009 has sparked the biggest craze of the year, bracing Phish addicts for a summer '09 tour and an accompanying album to follow.

The Jonas Brothers announced plans to perform a free surprise show at New York's Irving Plaza on June 11, causing fans of the brotherly trio to begin lining up at the venue to get tickets, which were handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis that afternoon. The Jonas Brothers were in the Big Apple promoting their new album Lines, Vines and Trying Times (which arrived June 16) on shows like Good Morning America and Late Show with David Letterman and snuck into the venue just before show time on July 12.

If there was ever a time to follow the crowd and get on the bandwagon, the time is now and the subject is Twitter - or so it is for O.A.R., the freewheeling jam band still making its mark on the alternative rock scene. O.A.R. recently reached out to the popular social media website Twitter and is warming up to the tell-all journal-type site, even opening a songwriting contest for all of the band's Tweeting fans to enter. From now until July 7, O.A.R. fans have the chance to contribute original lyrics to a new O.A.R. song via the band's Twitter page, as aspiring songwriters have been called to visit twitter.com/ofarevolution and submit 140 characters of original material onto the site. The band will then select three winning song verses from contestants' entries and construct an original song based upon the winners' lyrics, releasing the group effort as a new O.A.R. song released exclusively from iTunes in October.
